mj_yogalife is moving...

When things aren't planned, it is divine intervention or just an ordinary occurrence where a combination of things just line up at the very right time...

So Sanga, here I find myself pondering how things just happen. One day your are driving down a particular street enjoying the very familiar view all steady and easy and the next day your off road in a 4WD on unchartered terrain and wondering how did I get here…'and you may find yourself in a beautiful house, with a beautiful wife, and you may ask yourself, well...how did I get here' ('Once in a Lifetime', Talking Heads, 1981).

Well today that is me. Today I visited my soon to be opened mini Yoga Studio, hahaha! I find that funny even writing it. So it wasn't in the plan, it was actually NOT in the plan, on purpose.

What it is, is a lovely little Yoga Space, a Yoga Lounge Room lets say. A place where small, actually tiny, intimate groups can come together to share yoga, meditation, relaxation, Kum Nye. A place to discuss yoga and our journey and then maybe come to 'self inquiry' un-rushed and ready to 'chill' right out and be at peace with where ever it is that we are on our life journey.

How did this happen? A gorgeous friend of mine who owns a commercial space in Forster just suggested it off the cuff the other day as we (three friends) were on a day trip to Newcastle. Whamo a week later, I'm picking floor coverings, curtains, ordering flyers, revamping my website and updating my timetable, getting my head around this quite lovely opportunity and writing a blog about it hehehe!

The more I think about it the more it excites me, for what it really means for me and my yoga family. WE are growing, adding on a new room, the house is expanding kids. And there is more, the same week that I am opening this 'new yoga lunge room' the Dhirata Yoga Space, I am also starting some new classes at the 'new' Cape Hawke Surf Club, we are going on holidays too kids. This one has been planned and a few months in the making, but how serendipitous is that this is all happening at the same time.

I actually do want this, I am ready for the responsibility and I think a lot of the yogis close to me are ready too.

Its time to get into the 'grit' of our inner workings and the 'grace' of our practice and what better time to do this than in Spring? New growth...

It is definitely time for smaller classes and yoga One to One so that I can really get down and fun-ky with those that want to practice yoga with more heart and take it with them and feel it pulse through their veins and permeate their whole being.

It is definitely time for gorgeous Sunrise classes that have us gazing over the ocean, drawing in the beautiful energy of the morning seas and what ever they decide to offer up to us. And to have a large, open and light space to practice in. And if there a few or if there are many there is room and time and we are in love with yoga.

Is this just luck? Is this just ordinary every day turning out the way you want it to without you realising what you wanted anyway? Or is this divine intervention? I can't answer that, I still ponder miracles every day. Life is grand, love is sensational, joy is all around and I am still unfolding in my life as a yogini and enjoying where it all takes me.

And that my friends is what this is all about, it is YOGA and my and your journey further along that path, I AM EXCITED and I hope you can continue to join me on this journey...

Om Satyam MJX

I would like to acknowledge all of the indigenous cultures, spiritual practices and rituals that have informed my understanding of what it means to be walking this life as a conduit between heaven and earth, consciousness and the Great mother.

Let us pay tribute to the spiritual lineages and collective ancestry that has drawn us to each other.

I would like to acknowledge how beautiful it is to live on Worimi Country and I hope that the spiritual work I do

in some way supports the indigenous cultures of this land, sea and sky.
